Organisation and Preparation (1) : Flight Tickets

Planning ahead helps to fully enjoy the circus on the road. Or rather, it will be very complicated without a proper organisation and preparation. We hope that the time invested into the preparation will help to lower possible stress to a reasonable / normal / to be used to levels and enable us being more "present focused" with the kids. And moreover, it definitely helps to optimize the budget.

Flight tickets

Are not cheap. Neither for the whole family. So why not to try and save a coin by constantly and well ahead check for the possible deals. Sometimes "where" could be less important than "when" and "for how much".

We are all flying with FlyDubai on the route Prague - Dubai - Bangkok (and back) for 34400,- Czk / 1340,- €. Probably one of the cheapest direct tickets possible. There is an 8 hour stopover in Dubai on the departure route and later on I will tell you how we delt with it. In fact these are two plus-minus 6 hour flights which might be ideal not to get too bored in the plane. We have also already booked 3 tickets on local flights with AirAsia: Bangkok - Trang, Langkawi - Penang and Kuala Lumpur - Sihanoukville for total of under 6811,- Czk / 266,- €. Changes are not possible but the cost is not so high to be afraid to lose them if something cross our plans.
