Koh Mook Garden Resort & DADA restaurant

This place was one of those we have booked directly and we are very glad we did so.

There are many accomodation options on the Koh Mook. But there are only a few to combine nice location, good food, friendly helping staff and reasonable pricing. The Koh Mook Garden Resort is definitely one of the best to choose. For these reasons:

First, they have provided us with a free transport from (and to) the pier (+-1km).

Second, the food price, taste and portions. Really good. With an average price of 100 baht! Think we have been enjoying eating quite a lot there.

Third, free breakfast. Including: instant coffee, tea, pinaple and watermelon juice, bisquits, fried donuts or bananas, toasts with butter and jam, fresh ananas...(is what we had an opportunity with). Add-ons for 50-70THB = eggs, fruit pancakes etc..

Fourth, always smiling family staff. Loving kids. Everything organised or answered upon request.

Fifth, accomodation price. 800 THB/night for a small, but all of us easily fitting, private bath bamboo bungalow. 1dbl + 1sngl bed, with fan.

Sixth, location. Well maintained, quiet, relaxed, green and seafront. (But without the sea when on low tide...)

Seventh, small pool available for kids.

And eight would probably be, that you can meet celebrities there too. For example The Three Kings.

The only "negative" worth mentioning is - probably much more general in Thailand - the need to get used to the fact, that if you want to make an order (or add to your order) it is necessary to be active and organise that yourself. Otherwise you might be waiting for the Godot to come.

Our verdict would be 9/10. Plus, make sure not to expect a beautiful sandy beach and blue-green waters.
